Today I was just reminded of my ex-colleague and friend. When we were in Singapore, I was crossing the road as we do in India. Just then a car zipped-through. He pulled me back telling, " watch out. You have a family".
Alas! he is no more now; leaving behind his family ... He passed away due to lung cancer.
His statement still resounds in me...
Irony is that he doesn't smoke or drink. He got some infection in the nostrils and that aggravated to cancer. That's what I heard from others.
Last time when I saw him, he told me,"Now I have a hold on DSP". I got his sense of accomplishment. It is touching if I think about it even now. For me, he is a go-getter.
I feel bad that such a go-getter got defeated by death. I can't imagine that he would have given up fighting against cancer.
Today it just flashed in me why health is wealth. So far, this 'health is wealth' was yet another statement for me.
Leading a stress-free, healthy life would be a tribute to him. He may probably wish me the same!
Our family needs us. And we need to have the urge to see what we want in the future.
